Blog
[2009-04-20] - Wow. It's been almost two years since my last blog update. Does anyone even remember what a "blog" is? These days it's all about FaceBook, mySpace, Twitter, etc. What's a little two years between updates compared to the last-minute updates of Twitter? Not to mention that my website was offline for the last six months or so.
Why was I offline for six months, you may be asking yourselves. Well, I switched from PowWeb.com to iWeb.com. Not because of any bad service from PowWeb, mind you, but because I wanted to support a Canadian company since I'm a Canadian myself.
So if you live in the USA, I do recommend PowWeb, and if you live in Canada, I recommend iWeb. Talking about iWeb, these guys only needed about 10 minutes to switch my domain name, set up my new shared hosting account, etc!. They are fast! It took me three times longer than that to fix errors in my code just to bring my website online again.
Next on my list: redo the website once again. I hate the way it looks right now. Hopefully it will be done before april 2011. The new one will be made with iPhone, iPod touch, Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi specifications in mind (screen size, graphic sizes, touch interface, etc).
I just noticed my footer. I've had a website for about 12 years now! Time really fly, and it seems to be flying faster as you get older. At least my website gets better with age. It was really ugly only six years ago. Thankfully, they don't have anything before 2003. I think I started on GeoCities…
[2007-04-27] - I replaced the "paint" headers with "pixel" headers. I've never painted in my life but I did grew up with computers. At the beginning, pixels were really big so I decided to include that part of my childhood into the headers. I've also cut them in size by 25% vertically, the old ones were taking too much place. And last I've added a pixelated gradient background image. Too many oversized pixels? Maybe.
And by the way, yes I'm aware that all blog entries are on this page. I'm not using any 3rd party software package to manage my website, so for now all blog entries will be on this page as one huge blob of text.
[2007-04-15] - As you've probably noticed, my website now has a new look. If you didn't, may I suggest a visit to your optometrist? In any case, you'll be happy to know my website still contains the same old stuff as before. For now anyway.
One thing I noticed from my footer is that my website is now 10 years old. Yep, it's already been a decade of old content and almost no updates. Happy birthday Yvan256.net!
